Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-03
Technologies Verity actually uses to sign you in, remember workspace and theme, and measure production traffic.
1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy describes cookies and similar technologies used by Verity. It is limited to what the current product implements. It is not a generic or hypothetical cookie list.
Essential and authentication technologies are required for the Service to function. Preference storage is optional in the sense that the app works without a saved theme. Analytics, where enabled, measures usage in production.
We do not currently use marketing cookies. The marketing category is empty in this implementation.
2. Current inventory
Technologies in use:
- verity_session (cookie, authentication): Keeps you signed in. HttpOnly session cookie used to authenticate requests. Duration: 30 days from sign-in.
- verity_workspace (cookie, essential): Remembers which workspace is active after you sign in. Duration: 30 days.
- verity-theme (local_storage, preferences): Stores light/dark appearance preference in the browser. This is not a cookie. Duration: Until you clear site data.
- Vercel Web Analytics (sdk, analytics): In production, the application loads Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. The current integration is first-party usage measurement and is not used to serve advertising. It is designed to operate without advertising cookies. Duration: Not used as a marketing cookie in this implementation.
The hosting platform (Vercel) may set additional operational or security cookies that are not issued by Verity application code. Those are treated as essential hosting cookies when present.
3. Categories
Essential / authentication / security: required to sign in, keep a session, select a workspace, and protect the Service.
Preference: appearance stored in localStorage (not a cookie).
Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics in production for page views. This is not an advertising pixel in the current code.
Marketing: not used.
4. Your choices
You can sign out, which ends the session cookie according to the server. You can clear site data in your browser. Blocking all cookies will prevent sign-in because authentication cookies are required.
There is no marketing-cookie opt-in because marketing cookies are not used.
5. Updates
If we add a new cookie or SDK, this policy and the inventory in application configuration will be updated. Last updated date appears on this page. Questions: [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL].
