AI & Legal Disclaimer

How to read Verity: decision support, not a law firm, with limits on AI output and legal-context sources.
What Verity is
Verity helps you understand contracts, identify potential issues, compare provisions with available authoritative legal sources, surface commercial exposure, and organize questions for professional review.
Verity is software and a decision-support assistant — not a law firm, not legal representation, and not a substitute for a licensed lawyer. You remain responsible for decisions you make using Verity.
Verity does not determine whether your contract is legal. It does not provide legal representation and does not create an attorney-client relationship.
AI output
Verity uses automated and AI-assisted systems to analyze documents and identify potential legal, commercial, and contractual issues. Results are for informational and decision-support purposes and are not legal advice. Output may be incomplete or incorrect. Check important findings against the cited source material and consult qualified counsel when the decision is material.
Legal-context sources
Authoritative sources are shown as supporting material from Verity’s configured source registry. A displayed source does not, by itself, establish that a legal rule applies to your facts, dates, jurisdiction, exceptions, or counterparties. Applicability depends on those circumstances and on professional judgment.
“Legal context unavailable” means Verity did not establish sufficient authoritative support for this finding. It does not mean that no law applies, and it is not a legal conclusion.
If no authoritative source was established, Verity shows “Legal context unavailable.” Verity does not display a generic AI-generated law as though it were authoritative legislation. Sources are shown only from the configured authoritative source registry.
Your responsibility
You remain responsible for decisions made using Verity. For material legal decisions, disputes, litigation, regulatory matters, signing important agreements, or situations requiring legal advice, consult a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction.
AI output can contain errors, omissions, incomplete interpretation, or outdated information. Independently review outputs. Source retrieval may be incomplete. Laws change. Historical applicability depends on dates and facts. Absence of a source is not absence of a requirement.
